Ordering JCB spare parts correctly
Spare parts for JCB backhoe loaders and construction machinery are ordered most reliably when you know the exact part number. Manufacturers and dealers work with catalog data – the more precise your information, the faster you will find the right part.
Name plate and serial number
Every machine has a name plate (usually in the cab or on the engine cover). It shows:
- Model designation (e.g. 3CX, 4CX, 8025)
- Serial number / PIN – important for year of manufacture and equipment variant
- Engine and transmission type, where indicated
Note these details before placing your order. Identical model names can have different parts depending on the year of manufacture.
Catalog number instead of a description
In the shop, search for the manufacturer part number rather than "hydraulic hose left". Catalog numbers are unique; descriptions often lead to follow-up questions or incorrect orders.
Typical JCB number formats are alphanumeric codes (e.g. 32/925346, 331/28206). Check the number on the old part, in the maintenance documentation or in the spare parts catalog.
Original, OEM and aftermarket
- Original JCB – high fit accuracy and documented specification
- OEM quality – often economical for many wear applications
