Maintenance: backhoe loaders and hydraulics
Regular maintenance keeps backhoe loaders reliable and reduces downtime. The basis is always the manufacturer maintenance schedule combined with actual operating conditions.
Pre-start checks
- Check oil level of engine and hydraulics
- Visually inspect coolant, leaks and lines
- Test brakes and steering function
Hydraulic oil and filters
Hydraulic systems are sensitive to contamination. Oil changes and filter replacement should strictly follow the intervals. Use only approved oils and specifications.
Typical wear parts
Commonly affected are seals, hoses, teeth and blades. Timely replacement prevents consequential damage and unplanned downtime.
Note: Work on pressure systems and safety-critical assemblies only by qualified specialist personnel.
