According to legend, this pithy saying adorned the famous Pillars of Heracles on the Strait of Gibraltar in ancient times. It was a dire warning to sailors that when they crossed this threshold, they would leave the known, explore land, and venture into the total unknown. The A.H. also moves in this spirit. Riise Non Plus Ultra “Black Edition” on the fascinating border between the tried and tested and the new. For this extraordinary blend, only the very best and finest drops from old rum barrels are used to create something completely new and unique - a product where everything really deserves only the best. The secret of this rum, which shines in a deep mahogany color, lies, among other things, in the unusually long and intensive charring of the oak barrels, which are specifically reserved for the Non Plus Ultra series. This treatment allows the rum to penetrate deeper into the layers of wood that have never come into contact with alcohol before. Together with the carefully selected base rum distillates, this process gives the blend its incomparably deep and special taste. On the nose you will be pampered by intense notes of ripe peach paired with milk chocolate and sweet butterscotch. This rum is very full-bodied and creamy on the palate.
