Does SpeedBox 1.0 work? In order to properly activate all SpeedBox functions, the first time you switch on the e-bike after tuning installation, you must enter the menu and switch to the bicycle gearshift. The SpeedBox 1.0 tuning chip can be activated directly in the e-bike control unit by briefly activating the WALK Assist function (by holding down the “-” button). The e-bike's display shows 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) and you can ride at unlimited speed from then on. To deactivate the tuning chip, briefly activate the WALK Assist function again (by holding down the “-” button). Your e-bike's display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit will be reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will function the same as before the chip was installed. The SpeedBox is also designed for e-bikes where the walking support function is not switched on or active. In this case, you can enable/disable tuning by switching the assist mode twice, i.e. h. h. by pressing the +-+- buttons. The “countdown” process continues secretly while charging. So if you charge your e-bike with the battery connected, you can ignore the following tips. If you need to remove your e-bike's battery to charge, please wait for the SpeedBox to complete the "countdown" process at the end of your ride. When the e-bike stops, the ongoing “countdown” process is signaled by the increasing travel time. After the “countdown” process has ended, the riding time is stopped and the correct mileage appears on the e-bike display. The countdown process can be interrupted by turning off the e-bike or walking away, so this does not restrict the use of the e-bike in any way. However, a countdown should be carried out regularly to avoid tuning detection. If you plan to install the SpeedBox on a new bike, make sure you have ridden it for at least 1km before activating the system.
