It is worth protecting the areas around our work area with masking tape. After matting, ensure that the surface is dusted and degreased. 2 – Surface Primer Sika Primer-207 is used to improve the adhesion of a variety of substrates such as float glass, ceramic coated glass, primers, painted surfaces, cataphoretic coatings and metals. The optimal temperature of the substrate and adhesive is between 15 °C and 25 °C. Please note that the viscosity of the glue increases at low temperatures. For easier application, the adhesive should be brought to room temperature before use. To ensure a uniform thickness of the joint, it is recommended to apply the glue in the form of a triangular bead. The open time of the adhesive at 23 °C / 50% RH is 35 minutes. In hot and humid climates, the open time of the adhesive is much shorter. The parts to be joined must always be joined within the open time. Never glue the pieces together after the glue has formed a skin. Smoothing and finishing Smoothing must be done within the open time of the adhesive. For smoothing, we recommend using Sika® Tooling Agent N. Other smoothing agents must first be checked for suitability and compatibility. Removal Uncured Sikaflex®-252 can be removed from tools and equipment using Sika® Remover208 or another suitable solvent. After hardening, the material can only be removed mechanically. Hands and exposed skin should be washed immediately with towels such as Sika® Cleaner-350H or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not apply solvents to the skin.
