VTA valves allow water in hot water tanks to be safely overheated to protect against legionella bacteria without causing burns to the user. The “no scalding” feature shuts off the hot water supply if the cold water supply fails. In heating systems, e.g. underfloor heating, VTA valves can replace complex and expensive control systems. Under the plastic cover, which protects against accidental setting changes, there is a knob for adjusting the temperature of the mixed water. VTA thermostatic valves are maintenance-free during operation and can be installed in any position.
