• Ideal for use with “insulation for insulation” – gluing 1 m2 of Styrofoam with the CT 84 adhesive weighs 100 g instead of 5 kg for cement adhesive
• Increased thermal insulation properties - in contrast to conventional cement adhesives, CT 84 has similar thermal insulation properties to insulation materials such as Styrofoam or wool
• High homogeneity of the adhesive thanks to the use of a metal ball, which prevents the formation of excessively large air bubbles
• APPLICATION The polyurethane adhesive Ceresit CT 84 is used to attach polystyrene panels in complex Ceresit Ceretherm systems for thermal insulation of building exterior walls (ETICS)
• It is used to attach Styrofoam panels to the insulation of new buildings and buildings that are undergoing thermal renovation
• After about 2 hours of exposure, the attached polystyrene panels can be sanded down, pinned and then a fabric-reinforced layer of Ceresit CT 85, CT 87 or ZU mortar can be applied
• The polyurethane adhesive Ceresit CT 84 is also used for attaching materials such as EPS and Styrofoam panels
• It is also used for gluing Styrofoam panels, for gluing external window sills (after degreasing the surface), for filling gaps between Styrofoam panels, as a foundation (refilling glue) when gluing Styrofoam panels into the existing insulation and for gluing Styrofoam panels when renovating the existing “insulation for insulation” insulation system
