Botucal Mantuano Rum 40% Vol The history of Venezuelan rum BOTUCAL goes back to the 18th century. The entrepreneur and explorer Don Juancho Meléndez shared a great passion for spirits. His interest in the manufacturing processes, the ingredients contained and the influence of environmental factors led Meléndez to travel numerous times. From his excursions he brought with him the necessary tools to create the perfect rum in his homeland. In doing so, he laid the foundation for Rum BOTUCAL, also known internationally as Ron Diplomátuco. Today Rum BOTUCAL is produced in the DUSA distillery (founded in 1959) at the foot of the Andes and near the Terepaima National Park. Here the focus is on the traditional production of rum based on molasses and, among other things, virgin cane honey. After distillation in copper stills, the rum distillates are then stored in former bourbon and scotch barrels. Protection of minors No delivery to people under 18 years of age! BOTUCAL Mantuano This mixing rum is a blend of distillates that are produced 40% in pot still and 60% in column still (barbet) and batch kettle processes, and are then stored for 4-8 years in ex-bourbon and ex-Scotch barrels.
